How can I buy an umbrella liability insurance policy without having a home owners or renters insurance?

I own a rental property in Houston. Since I live overseas and do not have home owners or renters insurance, the insurance company of my investment property will not write a 00,000 umbrella policy. My investment property’s dwelling policy has 0,000 liabililty coverage in it.

Is there any way I buy 00,000 umbrella policy? Any names of insurance companies?

I personally own the house and not through a corporate entity?

I have a dwelling policy TDP-1 on my rental. It is written by CYPRESS TEXAS LLOYDS.

I called the agency who sold me this policy. They said they can bump the current 0,000 liability to 0,000 for additional 0 per year.

This would certainly help but I want million coverage.

I discovered mold today behind my mothers entertainment center which is pretty valuable. As soon and I pulled out everything the whole bottom of the three pieces of the furniture were falling apart. The whole carpet is soaked as well. called the land lord and she told us that my mom should of gotten renters insurance. It’s not my mom’s fault that she has mold right? I mean there is no foundation. The apartment is pretty shitty. Also my mom is getting rental assistance and they are saying she needs a letter from our landlord to prove that she has seen the mold, does this make sense?
