She also has short term disability insurance. Is it possible that she could extend those 6 weeks so she could stay at home with her baby girl a little longer without having to sacrifice the family’s income?
I have read in multiple places that short term disability INCLUDES maternity leave for most companies.

I have been hospitalized for depression and anxiety on an inpatient basis for 12 times in the last 20 years. I have been in 3 different hospitals and I am currently taking Celexa for depression, Kolonopin for anxiety, and Remeron for sleep. I’m only 49 an would much rather work but when I do, it affects my job performance.
Is anyone else currently on disability for depression and anxiety?

I was also diagnosed with it a long time ago. Which is listed as a disabling disease. In the upcoming years, i’ll be falling off my parent’s insurance. Yet I wont be out of college, or be making enough to cover my medicines. Which without insurance would cost me about 1,000 a month for my three perscriptions. I was wondering what kind of disability benefits or programs I could get. I was diagnosed with crohn’s while i was a child. I know i can’t get social security because, they wont give partial disability. I really don’t want to go under as fully disabled otherwise going to college is kinda pointless. I just want to get a little help paying for my medicine,specialist visits as well as those delightful procedures i’m forced to endure annually.
Anyone have any ideas?
