My first ivf cycle wasn’t successful. Being we have to pay for this ourselves (thanks a lot insurance!), our 2nd attempt will also be our last. After a failed cycle, how successful is the 2nd cycle likely to be?
I ended up having only 1 mature egg during retrieval but 4 more matured the next day. Only 3 of those fertilized so I ended up with 4 embryos and they put all 4 back because the 3 were only given a 5% chance of survival.

I don’t know what the odds are but I just wanted to say good luck! My husband and I just met with the RE on Tues and we talked about the posibility of ivf if iui doesn’t work. We would have to pay for it too and its crazy expensive. I cannot imaging trying to come up with the money once let alone twice. How many embryos did your doc put in? If it was only 1 or 2 see if he can do 2 or 4. Obviously you run the risk of multiples but it will up your chances. My RE told me he starts with 1 or 2 and then goes up to 3 or 4 embryos if that doesn’t work but he never goes over that. Baby dust you. I understand your pain
Google a product that use to be called ovulex it is now called fertile aid. I took it and got pregnant in the first month after the doctors said i could no longer have kids due to endometriosis. I am taking it again. I was skeptic but it worked last time for me. Good luck, dont give up. Stay away from clomid I had a tubal pregnancy after being on that. I am not aware too much of ivf and it’s success rates. It some times works and some times not. You may have to adopt or get a surrogate. But I would look into this product. I know it has helped people in your same situation. Good luck to you, me, and everyone else ttc. Don’t give up. Read the success stories on those whom have used this product and tried ivf in the past. I remember reading some stories.
There are too many variables to answer this truthfully, but I would say better than the 1st time. At least this time they know what dosage to have you on, more about your issue, etc. Good Luck!
