Hi there, I’m a 23 y/o full time student in California and I will very soon need some dental work done, including in the future, some cosmetic dentistry. I need affordable dental insurance that will allow me to choose my dentist. I asked my dentist which she accepts, and she told me any insurance plan in which I can choose freely my dentist.

Most insurance providers have a list of preferred dentists. You will be allowed to pick from any of the preferred dentists. Stick with a major dental insurance provider so you have more choices. I don’t know if you will find any dental – affordable – dental insurance that covers cosmetic procedures (veneers, whitening, etc.).
