Can my taxi car be insured by more than 1 insurance company?

I own the taxi car, but I drive it through the taxi company. The boss says the insurance card he gave me is all I need, but I’m afraid it may be liability only. Since I will be using this car for my private errands occasionally, I might also want collision, or even comprehensive. So I was thinking about getting insurance for it through AAA, as they insured my last private car.
Can I do this?
Thank you.

Sure it can, but why would you want to? You can’t collect twice, and a personal auto policy isn’t EVER going to cover a car with a taxi plate. You’d be lying on the application – which voids the coverage.
